Yes, Family Heroes is completely free today. If paid options ever arrive, the core features will remain free.
Do my kids need an email address?
No. Kids sign in with the family code, their avatar and a 4-digit PIN. No email address or personal data is required for them.
Which devices does the app work on?
Anywhere with a browser: Android, iPhone, tablet and desktop. You can install it like a real app (PWA) in one click.
Can a child change their own points?
No. Only parents create missions, validate achievements and manage rewards. The kids space only lets them check their points and claim a reward.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Passwords and PINs are encrypted, all traffic uses HTTPS and each family only ever sees its own data.
How do you motivate a child to do chores?
By making the effort visible and immediate. Every mission is worth a number of points known in advance, a parent validates it on the spot, and those points turn into a reward the child picked. That short loop — do it, be recognised, get something — is what lasts, far better than a chore chart on the fridge.
What age is it suitable for?
As soon as a child recognises their name and can type four digits, often around 5 or 6: they pick their avatar, enter their PIN and find their missions as pictures. Older kids manage their own points and rewards.
What rewards can I offer my children?
Whatever has value in your home: you create them freely and set their price in points. A movie night, extra screen time, an outing, a small purchase. Family Heroes handles no payment — you stay the only judge of what is worth earning.
Can both parents manage the same family?
Yes. A second parent joins the family with their own account and finds the same children, the same missions and the same point balances. Handy when chores are split across two homes.
How many children can I add?
As many as you have. Each child gets their own avatar, PIN and point balance, and the family leaderboard highlights everyone’s progress.
